Project 1: Instructable Infographics Poster
Fig, 1.1 Pasta Grannies making double ravioli with spinach and beetroot
fillings.
For Project 1, we are to create an infographic poster by choosing one
recipe from Pasta Grannies. And the recipe that I have chosen is Luisa's
double ravioli because I love to eat ravioli.

First and foremost, I typed the recipe on a document and organised the
ingredients and the sequences of making ravioli.

Then, I continue observing and collecting references from the videos, hence
it allows me to have a clear image for me to draw them more precisely. This
image includes a screenshot from the Pasta Grannies and some ingredients
searched online.

I was looking through some artwork from Pinterest and I decided to
go with this art style, I like artwork that gives a comfy
feeling.
Visual Explorations
Fig 2,1, Attempt #1 (Week 4, 4.2.2023)
First, I coloured my background white but I feel it was too strong hence
I try a different way.
Fig 2,2,Attempt #2 (Week 4, 4.2.2023)
I use a gradient to have the old newspaper look, however, I find it does
not appeal hence I try another one.
Fig 2,3,Attempt #3 (Week 4, 4.2.2023)
I lighten the gradient it looks nicer and smoother.
Fig 2,4, Attempt #4 (Week 4, 4.2.2023)
The first attempt at the whole look with a white colour
background.
Fig 2,5, Attempt #5 (Week 4, 4.2.2023)
Second attempt of changing the background colour. I prefer this one to
the others as the colours are not too bright and not too dull.
Fig 2,6, Attempt #6 (Week 4, 4.2.2023)
The final attempt of changing the colour.

Before I make it as an animation video, I convert all images into layers as
it will be easier for me to animate it on After Effect (AE).

REFLECTION
I believe that among all the tasks, Project 1 was the most difficult task among the others, as we need to illustrate it from the youtube video _ Pasta Grannies and then after illustrating then convert it to an animation video. I spent more time on this project than the other project, but thankfully that Mr Martin extended the deadline and it gave me more time to finalise it. This project allows me to be more aware of the infographic poster not only visual impact is important but the information on it is essential as well, things I need to be considered are will my audiences understand? and is the information is being well delivered? The most challenging part but it held the heaviest part of the project was illustrating the objects, the foods and the types of equipment. It takes me some time to illustrate all and transfer them to AE and animate them.
But my experience with this module is always different, challenging and refreshing but also comes along with difficulties as well. Nevertheless, I appreciate the process as I do learn different kinds of skills and how to improvise further
